Glossary Term

Revenue Stacking

Using multiple compatible revenue layers instead of relying on a single income stream.

Definition

Revenue stacking means designing a business so more than one revenue source supports it. A creator or digital professional might combine services, products, licensing, memberships, and asset income inside one coherent model.

Example

A filmmaker who sells production services, licenses footage, runs a member library, and offers consulting is using revenue stacking.

Why it matters

More revenue layers do not always mean a better business. The layers have to fit each other operationally and strategically.
